Cap Reached – U Visas

U visas are for victims of certain crimes who provide ongoing cooperation with law enforcement. There is a statutory maximum of 10,000 U visas issued per year. Since the U visa programs inception in 2008, the 10,000 cap has been reached for the sixth year in a row. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced it will continue to review pending petitions even though the statutory cap was reached.  If you would like to learn more about U visas and victims of criminal activity, please call The Ponce Law Office at (972)863-1446.
